How to Make Tawa Tawa Tea for Dengue Treatment

I just heard the news from GMA 7 that tawa tawa weed can cure dengue fever and it was scientifically proven.

Tawa tawa herb looks like this.

I want that herb cause we have a three months old baby. This illness is very dangerous and can take lives if not treated immediately. I gonna find this herb soon and plant it in our garden.

According to my internet browser, this is how to make tawa tawa tea for dengue treatment.

Tea Making Procedures
•Take 5 to 6 full whole Tawa Tawa plants
•Cut off the roots
•Wash and clean
•Fill a boiling pot with clean water
•Boil the Tawa Tawa for 1 (one) minute in a slow rolling boil
•Cool
•Let the dengue fever victim drink only the Tawa Tawa water for 24 hours
•Sip 1 to 1.5 glasses of Tawa Tawa water every hour

The internal hemorrhaging will stop and the dengue fever will be cured within 24 hours.

I better hurry. I want to evaluate the tea myself. I want to make it more drinkable if it tastes bad. Babies don’t want bad tasting stuff.

A day after I went outside my mother’s front yard and saw this plant. Finding this plant was an easy task.

tawa tawa on garden

I prepared a glass of tawa tawa tea just to know what it taste like.

preparing tawa tawa leaves

It has a little sweet and grassy taste. A little of muscovado sugar will make it more pleasant. It tastes better than sambong tea.

The Department of Health reported that tawa tawa might increase blood platelet count but they still need further studies.

Tawa tawa is the best herbal cure for dengue and other platelet reduce problems…. the government will never promote or even try to learn the full potential of this plant because of big pharmaceutical company to protect their investments…

with no cure in sight, i’d always recommend tawa-tawa alongside hospital treatment.

since this is an herb,it should undergo more studies among my concern are
are there any toxic alkaloids found in the plant?which can do more harm in the long run

there is some herbal medicine, that can cure dengue that we face here in our country, the camote topps.Camote topps or sweet potato greens are always available every where. It is easily grown and does not require special maintenance or fertilizers to grow. The root crops are edible and are good substitute to rice.the platelet count of the victim plunges down to a dangerous and critical level that becomes fatal.so!thats why not try it !!

The leaves or so-called “kamote tops” are a good source of vitamins A, B and C, iron, calcium and phosphorus. The tubers (roots) are high in carbohydrates and are mainly starch. Kamote tops are very often eaten as local salad. Wash the vegetable well before eating. It can be eaten raw or just immerse in boiling water quickly and drain; mix it with tomatoes and onions with little soy sauce and lemon juice (kalamansi”

Here are just a few of the diseases it can help: heart disease, high cholesterol, high blood pressure, type 2 diabetes, bowel problems, irritable bowel syndrome, various cancers of the bowel (mouth, stomach, and colon cancers), kidney stones, and many more. Eating vegetables can also fight obesity. Vegetables are excellent filler foods because they’re low in fat, low in calories, and high in fiber. As you can see from our list, steamed or sauteed vegetables with garlic, tomatoes, and onions are very healthy indeed.”

I will attest to the effectiveness of Tawa-tawa to cure dengue. My daughter(3yr old) had a high fever last 9/10 and due to our place was a dengue hot spot, her pedia advised that she be tested for dengue. The result was she’s positive of dengue. She wasn’t admitted in the hospital but had her blood tested everyday and, everyday her platelet count drops though the # is not significant to cause an alarm(as per her Pedia). But, as a parent I wasn’t really uneasy esp, that every now and then she will have fever.Since she’s not improving for the last 3days, I decided to give her tawa-tawa(the redish/green one). The day after I gave her tawa-tawa her platelet jumped from 200 to 239.
    Here’s how I prepared it:
1.0 7 pieces full plants, removed the roots and washed/clean the plants.
2.0 Put the plants in the pot and add 2liters of water.
    3.0 Slow boil.
    4.0 Let it cool.
5.0 The taste is really not bad but since she’s a 3yr old, anything with color and doesn’t tastes like juice for sure she won’t drink it.So I put Ice tea mix and she drinks it every hour w/o any problem.

We are in the Philippines, and lots of people here have already attested the effectivity of Tawa tawa as an alternative cure for Dengue patients. We are currently having this epidemic crisis of dengue… having not reach yet it’s peak. Why until now there was no study made from the DOH about how this plant affects the platelet count on dengue patients when this has been used for many decades already…. HOW LONG WILL THEY BE ABLE TO OBTAIN RESULTS IF STUDIES HAS BEEN STARTED? For sure, this virus will not stop unless you kill all the mosquitos around the philippines. Yes, erradicating the breeding grounds of this mosquitos helps a lot, but certainly not a 100% solution. Come a time, babalik at babalik din and pagdami ng lamok with dengue virus. So a study on this plant is very much worth to be given attention by the DOH. The herb is very much abundant here in the Philippines, kahit sa bakuran niyo, you will see it sprouting out of nowhere… like weeds. God gives us cure available for us to use…

I agree that tawa-tawa can cure the dengue. At gaya ng sinabi ng isang comment dito, government wont promote this or even pursue the study just to PROTECT the investment of those BIG Pharma companies. Remember A1H1 virus? binugbog sa media ang pananakot na delekado ang virus na ito. It DOH best advise is to wash your hands with “the white sexy soap” while singing the hapy bday. Hell, the P&G obviously just paid DOH to promote the SOAP (Safeguard). may mas bibisa ba sa 70% isopropyl alcohol na accessible khit saan khit wlang tubig?
tsaka lang pinromote ng DOH nun nagbayad na ang ibang isopropyl alc. i read some books about natural cures and how the government protected the big Pharma companies. If u want a copy of some buks, just pm me.. =)

I am a living proof to the effectiveness of tawa-tawa. My son & I both suffered from dengue and were roommates in the hospital. I let my son drink much of the tawa-tawa tea coz I want him to recover soon while I did not drink it as a sort of experiment on who among us will get cured first. My son’s platelet immediately rose up and was out of the hospital ahead of me while mine kept on decreasing until the doctor advised me to have a standby blood donor. Immediately, I took the tawa-tawa tea and hurrah! my platelets started increasing and i was spared from the blood transfusion.

Do not add sugar. When your white blood cells count is high, your immune system is at work protecting you from foreign invaders. These foreign invaders or bacteria feeds on sugar so do not feed your enemy. Given the marvel of tawa-tawa you can take it for your regular tea to boost your immune system and blood toner. You can have it as salad too!

You can find it anywhere, just be careful and make sure that the area where you gather your tawa-tawa is free from pesticides or any chemicals you sometimes dump on your backyard to avoid ingesting this harmful substances.

I am sorry! My place is too far from Quiapo to confirm your inquiry. Please compare it to picture provided. Choose fresh herb as much as possible to avoid fakes.

It is still best to bring her to hospital together with the tawa tawa medication.

Try to have some trip going to Laguna or cavite area, just to make sure you can find tawa-tawa for your baby.

i remember when i was a child that we used tawa-tawa milk to cure our sure eyes after an hour it’s cured. Amazing then it can cure dengue.. I suggest also to study baho-baho plants, this is our emergency medicine when we have diarhea, severe stomache ache, etc. It too much effective.

A son of dear friends of ours had dengue for almost a week now. His platelet went below 100. So we asked him to drink tawa-tawa. He drank about 1 pitcher of tawa-tawa tea, and religiously drank the whole night. The next day he was discharged from the hospital. Bumalik na sa normal platelet level nya. So to DOH and the medical practitioners in our country, how can you dispense with these positive results? Bilis-bilisan nyo na ang ‘further studies’ nyo. Ilang taon na naming narinig yan sa nyo?

Who knows? It is possible (DOH) someone there is conniving with a pharmaceutical company which is now making a drug made up of tawatawa but will claim made from other ingredients. It’s a big business out there. Not millions but billions. Anyone would buy an expensive drug for as long as it would save lives.

Yes,we have been using tawa tawa for two years. It saved the lives of my niece and my nephew last year who almost died of dengue. Actually, in our community, anyone who is inflicted with dengue gets to drink tawatawa until he gets better. I highly recommend this. If you are looking for some, you can find lots of it on the grassy land going to Mall of Asia or near Cultural Center of the Philippines. That’s where we always get our bunch of tawatawa.

tawa tawa is good, but CHLORELLA SOROKINIAN(cryptomonadales)IS BETTER, A WELL RESEARCH PRODUCT CONDUCTED BY THE NATIONAL HEALTH RESEARCH INSTITUTE AND TESTED BY INDONISIAN RESEARCHERS AS CURE FOR DENGUE. IF YOU WANT THIS PRODUCT JUST EMAIL TO bal_bantilan@ yahoo.com ot txt to 0909-672-4976…

THAT SOUNDS GOOD BECAUSE IN INDONESIA THEY CONDUCTED MEDICAL AND SCIENTIFIC RESEARCH AND MADE FINDINGS… UNLIKE TAWA-TAWA IN THE PHILIPPINES, THERE IS NO FACTUAL AND SCIENTIFIC FINDINGS BEING PUBLISHED BY OUR AUTHORITY, RATHER, ITS MORE ON ACTUAL EXPERIENCE, WHICH SOME MAY FEEL HESITANT TO USE TAWA-TAWA… THAT’S WHY U CONCLUDED THAT CHLORELLA IS BETTER THAN TAWA-TAWA…

Thanks to God!

Thank you for this post. As a last resort, you can buy dried tawa tawa are available at Quiapo where you buy herbal medicine. However, it really just grows everywhere. You have to be patient to find huge areas that are growing weeds. In our case we sometimes find them in the island in the middle of recto and often in residential compounds in quezon city where there are untended grassy patches outside the houses. Its hard to plant in your backyard though, its resilient but hard to domesticate and make sure you get the right herb. Try to choose more mature plants to harvest, don’t pull the young plants, somebody else may need them in the future.

In our preparation, we include the roots, wash the plant and cut the plant into 3 inches long pieces before boiling. The dagta inside the stems are where the medicinal properties come from and cutting makes it easier to disperse in the boiling water.

It will taste gross if it is not washed well. Usually it tastes sweet like corn with a little light bitter taste but tolerable. I’ve seen dozens of people get well. But we never discourage hospitalization.

Also don’t drink it while hot. So that the temperature will not cause more internal bleeding by burning.

Thanks to websites like this. My 19 year old son suffered from Dengue for 5 days before I found a cure. I’ve searched the internet for “Dengue cure” and this website came up also. His platelet count was steadily going down. As soon as I’ve read about this, I immediately boiled and prepared 3 liters of tawa tawa. My son was at the time confined in a hospial and we were very much worried because we knew for a fact that this dengue is a killer. It was 3.5 hours before his scheduled time of platelet lab test that I made my son took few glasses before the lab test. I was amazed and thanked the good Lord that my son’s platelet finally rose up. It was a sudden change from the 5 days it’s been steadily going down. His fever subsided in 24 hours and 48 hours from the time he started drinking tawa tawa juice, he was made to check out from hospital confinement. God is good. For a killer dengue virus, he spread this common herb cure that can easily be found almost everywhere.
