Quezon City Health Office issued a temporary close order against the dirty meat processing plant in Novaliches, Quezon City. GMA News team and health staff observed dirty cookwares, lots of roaming flies, meat mixture on dirty floor and workers with no T-shirts. The meat plant has no sanitary permit and workers have no health certificates.
The manufacturer should follow all sanitary rules before they can operate again. They mus practice proper food hygiene.
The meat plant sells their produce in Balintawak market. Consumers should be very careful in choosing meat products to buy. Buy meat products under trusted brands and avoid unlabeled meat commodities. Look for NMIS seal (National Meat Inspection Service) for raw meat and BFAD (now Food and Drug Administration) registration for processed meats.
